Dr. Zachary Robbins - Educator, Author, and Superintendent
Dr. Zachary “Zac” Robbins is an educator, author, and superintendent dedicated to improving student outcomes through equity-centered leadership, restorative practices, and data-driven decision-making. With over 25 years of experience in K–12 and higher education, Dr. Zachary Robbins has earned a reputation as an educator who creates inclusive learning environments where all students thrive.
Dr. Zachary Robbins is the author of “The Teachers Black Students Need,” a groundbreaking book designed to equip educators with strategies to support black students in schools. His earlier works, including “Becoming a Social Justice Educator” and “Restorative Justice Tribunal,” have been adopted in teacher preparation programs and professional development workshops across the nation. His writing continues to influence educational policy and practice.
Between 2022 and 2024, Dr. Zac Robbins served as superintendent of Marysville School District 25 in Washington, where he successfully led a district of over 10,000 students through significant academic and organizational gains. Under his leadership, Marysville improved statewide assessment scores across reading, math, and science. He also identified a $17 million budget deficit and cut school expenditure to rectify the deficit.
